Earthquake shelters to receive new equipment

BEIJING - Hundreds of extra emergency shelters are to be set up in the city to help residents cope with a major earthquake, authorities announced on Thursday.

In response to the complaints, municipal authorities vowed to place post-disaster facilities in more than 300 locations, including parks, schools and stadiums, by the end of 2015.
